What's in my Makeup Bag?

The blue makeup bag from Victoria's Secret Pink is filled with face products with the exception of one item. The MAC leopard print bag is filled with eye products.

Let's start with eye's (my favorite part)!

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion Original
  • Covergirl Lashblast Fusion mascara in Very Black
  •  L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes mascara in Black
  • L'Oreal Wear Infinite Waterproof eyeliner in Black
Brushes for eyes
  • Urband Decay double ended brush that came with Naked 2 (has a blending/crease brush on one end and flat shader on other)
  • MAC 282SE (for my lid)
  • MAC 286SE (for my crease)
  • elf Eyeshadow "c" brush (for my highlight)

  • Almay Smart Shade Anti-Aging concealer in Light
  • Garnier BB cream tinted foundation in Light/Medium
  • Revlon Cream Blush in Rosy Glow
  • MAC Studio Fix powder in NW25
  • Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Bronzer spf 50 in Light
Brushes for my face
  • elf studio Blush brush
  • elf studio Powder brush
  • Sonia Kashuk bronzing face brush
This is what my face looks like after I do my makeup ;)

PS I forgot to include my eyelash curler.. it's just an elf one ($1 and it works great)

My "Healthy" Green Smoothie

I've always loved smoothies.. Orange Julius is my favorite. But, smoothies can rack up a lot of calories without even seeming like it. So I started making them at home.

WHAT I USE:
-1 whole Banana
-Roughly 4 sliced Strawberries
-1 heaping handfull of Spinach
-1 cup Skim Milk
-3 ice cubes
-Vanilla Protein Powder (a little less than 1 scoop)

I hate spinach... I don't like the taste or texture. For some reason it has no taste in smoothies. For real. None at all. I was hesitant to try it but now it's in like all my smoothies I make. I just gives the smoothie a green color. It's a wonderful way to get your vegetables in. I also don't use a full scoop of protein powder because protein can bulk you up if you are not working out. I am not very good at finding time to work out so I try to use a little less. I use this smoothie as a meal replacement that's why I add protein. The ice cubes are added just in case the frozen strawberries/milk don't make it cold enough.

I just add all those ingredients into the blender and press blend ;) Simple. Easy. Delicious.

I would love to subsitute the skim milk for almond milk or coconut milk but I haven't got around to pick any up. I also ran out of frozen just strawberries so I used a mixed fruit bag and picked out the strawberries. Make sure to get the "No sugar added" fecrozen fruits. Otherwise, you are adding unwanted sugar to your smoothie. The fruit makes it sweet enough. However, if my smoothie isn't sweet enough for my likings I add a squirt of "Amber Agave Nectar".

Liam is TWO months old - Update!

I can't believe how much my baby has grown!

Weight: 13.5 lbs (born 8.3 lbs)

Size: 6 month sleepers and 3-6 month onesies

Hair: Still has it all, it's getting more reddish blonde though!

What has he been up to: This month Liam has found his voice. He coos at me all the time now. His favorite thing to do is lay on his back and talk! I love it when he smiles back when I smile at him. He also loves when you tickle his nose. He's becoming a bit of a thumbsucker-- well more like hand sucker haha! He can't quite master the whole sticking his thumb out and sucking on it but he sure tries. Liam can hold his head up beautifully and has become a master at tummy time!

Favorite things: His tummy time mat. It's made by Infantino and you can add different things to it as they get older. It also come with a mirror. He likes to look at himself and smile. Find the toy HERE. He also still loves his MAM pacifiers! I also purchased a Rock n' Play sleeper to put him in when I need some real rest. I still co-sleep but I find that I don't fully fall asleep when he is laying in bed with me yet. I did have an Arm's reach Co-Sleeper but he didn't sleep well in it.

Liam's First Cloth Diaper & Mini Flip Review

I have a bit of a problem, I cannot stop buying cloth diapers. Even before Liam was born I was hooked on buying them. I started out liking pocket diapers then on to All-in-Ones. Now, it's All-in-Two's and Hybrid diapers. I'm currently in the process of selling my pockets and AiO's (with the exception of a select few I can't seem to let go-they are too cute!) to buy more hybrids. I've been looking at: Flips, Grovia's and Best Bottoms. Currently I have around 10 Flip diapers in an array of adorable prints and I have some Grovia's on the way.

Anyways, I decided to put Liam in a his first cloth diaper today! I have so many disposables left from my baby shower that I was planning on waiting until they were all gone to start using cloth. But, I couldn't resist. I put him in a snap BumGenius Flip in the color Sassy with a Stay-Dry Insert.

My son is *almost* two months old and weighs around 13 lbs and he is snapped to the smallest rise.  I must say that even for the 4-5 hours he was in it (I put it on him and he went down for a nap) it held up quite nicely. Normally with a disposable diaper he would be pretty soaked--he's a heavy wetter. When I took out the insert the cover was dry still even though the insert was saturated. Also, his skin was dry! With disposables his skin always feels sticky and moist (YUCK!) Overall, I really liked the system so far.

I'm looking forward to using these even more then I can give a more in depth review.
